Tones Important Muscle Groups

Tones Important Muscle Groups

Prenatal yoga tones your body, especially the pelvic floor, hip, and abdominal core muscles, in preparation for the birthing process. A properly toned muscle has the right balance between length and strength. Building and maintaining muscle tone during pregnancy can help minimize the aches and pains of those nine months.

Prepares for Labor and Delivery

Prepares for Labor and Delivery

Prenatal yoga classes teaches you to trust that your body will open” up to labor and birth. Body tightening leads to a “fear-tension-pain cycle.” This can sabotage your efforts to remain present and calm in labor, especially if you aim to experience childbirth with little or no pain medication. Working to connect with deep, mindful breathing helps the body loosen and relax.

Certain poses, such as Hero pose, in which you sit back on your heels and then sit up straight to lengthen your spine, becomes meaningful if you breathe deeply while in it.

Relief From Common Complaints

About Agata

Pregnancy is a special time when we want to take care of our body and prepare for one of the most beautiful experiences in life.

Yoga is an ideal solution for taking care of harmonious physical and mental health, relaxation and work with the breath. The practice of yoga in pregnancy must meet the needs of the mother-to-be, which is why it differs in terms of rhythm, issues taken, duration and arrangement of exercises.

The Iyengar Yoga that we want to propose to you is a method that uses aids to make yoga poses, or asanas, available from the beginning to the last day of pregnancy. The equipment we use during classes is often ordinary household items, e.g. a chair, blankets, books, and a kitchen table. Therefore, you can safely practice at home at any time convenient for you.

You can choose yoga sessions according to your mood and possibilities on a given day. An additional advantage is the arrangement of the sessions depending on the trimester of pregnancy. In the first one, women struggle with a decrease in energy and nausea, which can be alleviated by yoga, in the second one we can develop in practice, and in the third one we help in the relief of ailments related to the developing child and prepare for childbirth.
